AC Not Cooling

Who We Are

AC Not Cooling in Santa Teresa

When your AC is running but not cooling in Santa Teresa, it is one of three things in most cases — low refrigerant, a dirty evaporator coil, or a failed capacitor. In DC's humid subtropical climate, the evaporator coil works twice as hard removing moisture — which means a dirty or low-refrigerant coil degrades faster here than in drier cities. Santa Teresa AC Repair Pros diagnoses AC blowing warm air accurately on the first visit.

Sub Services Included:

Air Conditioner Not Cooling Diagnosis — Full refrigerant, coil, and electrical test to identify the actual cause in Santa Teresa
AC Running But Not Cold Refrigerant Service — Refrigerant level tested and leak found before any recharge in Santa Teresa
AC Blowing Warm Air Coil Diagnosis — Dirty evaporator coil — accelerated by DC's humidity — identified and cleaned to restore cooling in Santa Teresa homes
Capacitor Test for AC Not Cooling Situation — Weak capacitor causing poor compressor performance identified and replaced same-day in Santa Teresa

FAQs

Q: Why is my AC running but blowing warm air in Santa Teresa?

A: Most common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty evaporator coil reducing heat transfer, or a weak capacitor. DC's humidity makes coil fouling happen faster in Santa Teresa than in drier climates.

Q: How long does it take to fix an AC not cooling in Santa Teresa?

A: Most same-day. Capacitor and coil issues are resolved in one visit. Refrigerant leak repair and recharge typically done same-day in Santa Teresa.

Frequently Asked Questions About AC Not Cooling Services in Santa Teresa, NM

FAQS about AC Not Cooling Services in Santa Teresa, NM

How fast can you get a technician to my home in Santa Teresa?

We offer same-day service across Santa Teresa. Call before noon and a NATE-certified technician is typically at your door the same day — no three-day waits when DC's heat index is above 100°F.

What are the most common AC failures in Washington DC?

Capacitor burnout is the number one failure we see in Santa Teresa — the heat island effect pushes systems harder here than anywhere in the region. Refrigerant loss and clogged condensate drains from extreme humidity are close behind.

How long does an AC repair take?

Most repairs are completed in one visit. Capacitor replacements take under an hour. Refrigerant recharges and condensate drain flushes typically run one to two hours depending on system access.

How much does AC repair cost in District of Columbia?

Repair costs vary by failure type. Capacitor replacement runs $150 to $350. Refrigerant recharge ranges from $200 to $500 depending on the charge size. Our service call fee applies toward your repair — one charge, not two.

Do you work on ductless mini-split systems in DC rowhouses?

Yes. Mini-splits are the most common system in Santa Teresa's historic rowhouses and pre-war buildings. Our technicians are trained on both mini-split repair and high-velocity ducted systems common in DC retrofits.
